The ultra-fast and high-cell-viability volumetric bioprinter: OrganMini
The OrganMini, an ultra-fast and high-cell-viability volumetric bioprinter, is the first commercialized volumetric printing device in China. It utilizes a technology developed based on CT imaging principles, volumetric slicing algorithms, and light intensity compensation algorithms. This technology enables the projection of longitudinal two-dimensional slices of a three-dimensional object into a rotating printing vial at a certain speed, allowing the photocurable ink within the vial to form a three-dimensional object simultaneously in all directions. Centimeter-sized biomaterials can be printed contact-free in approximately 60 seconds, significantly enhancing cell survival rates (≥95%). Volumetric bioprinting, based on visible light, enables fully enclosed, contact-free, and sterile printing, making it more suitable for cell printing research. It is applicable in a range of scenarios inc
